What do artifacts tell us about the lives of early humans?

Artifacts can tell what their culture, events in their lives and things they did to enjoy or used these like it was their job or daily basis like how we do it. But they do it on what they find or it is just their like a sphere and they find other object like stones, branches and to sharpen the sphere like a weapon.

Also cave paintings, they show events like rampaging animals, when they were attacked by other humans or tribes and large animals they never seen before or new to them and maybe paintings of trees objects or something or someone loved for fun. Plus there are some with places they have taken over or moved out of due to an effect.

But really they show us that these had happen to them and show they are in more danger then us by the environment. But since they can do this they show they are smart or have common senses. But most people think their dumb cause of TV shows but they have like their own language and way of life.
